Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from a recent event in the history of Guatemala, a tour of contemporary Spanish-American literature is made regarding the phenomenon of memory and its reworking, whether through fiction or testimony. The article tries to elaborate a reflection on the intricate relationships between literary fiction and historical memory, and the need to remember to maintain an awareness of past events.
