Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Adopting a variety of perspectives, the volume reconstructs the relationship between television and Italian society along a double track: the history of TV, which for the first time is read and analyzed through audience data, with a completely new perspective even at an international level; and the entrepreneurial history of Auditel, which reflects the evolution of the entire media system, since Auditel is a cross-controlled body that brings together all the components of the market, namely broadcasters, advertising investors, communication agencies and media centers.
