Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The Exchange Trade Funds (ETFs), which originated in the US market in the early 1990s, soon spread to financial centers around the world. Since the demand for these products shows an ever-increasing rate of growth as a product of investment in portfolios of private customers, it seemed interesting to compare the performance of ETFs with active management in order to understand whether it is possible to identify a preferential option among the two types of management from a retail investor perspective.
