Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay outlines two phases in the consideration that Violante had of the medieval magisterium of Volpe. The first date on his arrival in Pisa in 1963, when Volpe served Violante as a source of inspiration for his teaching and research; the second phase, instead, dates back to the 90s, when Violante tried to subtract the figure of Fox from the attempt to capture within a "annalienne" perspective.
