Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Artificial intelligence allows us to think and act humanely and rationally through hard-ware systems and software programs capable of providing services that, to a common observer, would seem to be of exclusive relevance to natural (human) intelligence. Applications are increasingly widespread, thanks also to the big data available today and to the capacity for self-learning (machine learning) or to synergies with natural intelligence, which remains irreplaceable in terms of vision and flexibility. The examination of the business models of companies that base their strategies on artificial intelligence or, more extensively, even traditional companies that use certain applications, is prope-deutica to a framework of legal issues (still pioneering) and the profiles of economic evaluation.
