Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay investigates the linguistic ideas developed within the circle of scholars who in the early decades of the seventeenth century worked in the Rome of Urban VIII. Against the closures of the Crusca, these writers favor a 'modernizing' choice on the syntactic-lexical level and try to promote a new prose of thought capable of widening the horizon of fruition of the philosophical-moral disciplines, on the model of how much, in years of previous ones, Galileo had suggested for the physical-mathematical subjects.
