Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The objective of this study is to understand if and to what extent initiatives aimed at encouraging the involvement of women in the working environment have an impact on the generation of Intellectual Capital of the company. By decomposing the Value-Added Intellectual Capital (VAIC) construct into human capital efficiency, structural capital efficiency and capital employed efficiency, our findings reveal that HR practices that promote gender diversity improve structural capital efficiency. On the contrary, practices related to development and training reduce the efficiency of the capital employed.
