Linee guida e procedure operative di servizio sociale

[Autom. eng. transl.] This book collects in a systematic way the guidelines and the procedures of professional social service, that is to say the operative indications that the social assistants, engaged in field work in direct contact with the users, follow (or are believed to follow, if as soon as possible) in compliance with the laws of the sector, the guidelines of the organization they work for, the service regulations. The guidelines and procedures indicate how the social service methodology can find concrete application - in its basic elements - when working with a certain type of user and problems, and in a given regulatory, political and organizational context. The contents are organized around the different types of users the professional social service is involved in: people with income and housing difficulties, elderly people who are not self-sufficient, people with disabilities, people with difficulties related to couple relationships, families where there are difficulties. parents, minors affected by protective measures, minors subjected to criminal proceedings, people with dependency problems, people with mental health problems, people subject to penitentiary measures, people with immigration difficulties. Each chapter reports, for each area of use: • some more specific contextual information (public bodies holding socio-assistance competencies with respect to the field of intervention in question and the fundamental elements of the national laws on the subject); • the essential phases of the aid process, declined in relation to the type of problem; • the description of the various services linked to that type of problem, with the indication of the procedure that follows the social worker to activate them, monitor their implementation and verify the results.
