[Autom. eng. transl.] In 2010 the food industry of our country had a turnover of 124 billion euros, giving rise to a 3.3% growth compared to 2009. The contribution of the dairy sector amounts to 14.8 billion euros, registering with respect to year before a growth of 2.6%. The total turnover of the other sectors, with the exception of the wine and confectionery sector, was well below 10 billion euros; the latter shows a positive trend of + 4.5%.
