Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The social (and psycho-social) survey represents the typical evaluation context in child protection and often constitutes the occasion for the first meeting between families and social service operators. The complexity of the social investigation process is evident: the personal experiences of parents are often characterized by fear, anger, guilt and heavily affect the possibility of starting a constructive dialogue with the operators. In this context, multiple actors move, with different functions and purposes, sometimes opposite, in particular the social and legal components can intertwine within a dialogic path or become antithetical sides, with the risk of fueling the opposition of families. The contribution presents the results of a qualitative research, aimed at investigating the experiences and feelings of the persons under investigation, the quality of the relationship established with the operators of the child protection services and with the lawyers, the respective functions and the possible paths of collaboration . It was a work involving several voices, from which lights and shadows emerged and which made it possible to highlight some operational indications, aimed at enhancing and building good intervention practices.
