Abstract

Through the issues of the magazine "Roma e l'Oriente", published from 1910 to 1921, has traced the complex route that brought the Catholic Church to develop a new and different approach to Eastern Christianity, behind the contemporary ecumenism. This is a significant event just because the encounter with other religious worlds has been one of the main experiences that has changed profoundly the contemporary Catholicism.
