Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] After years of measures adopted following the logic of the emergency and conditioned by erroneous understandings of the reality of the Roma, Sinti and Caminanti, in 2012 Italy decided to change approach, identifying the tools to favor their integration in the National Inclusion Strategy . Five years after its adoption, Roma are hardly talked about anymore and the spotlight of media attention is now focused on other events, primarily those of migrants. The article, after outlining the history of policies dedicated to Roma in our country, addresses some questions: what happened during this period? What is the assessment that can be made of the implementation of the Strategy?
