Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter analyzes the data that emerged from the questionnaire to preadolescents on the subject of friendship relations. Already starting from the experience in the classroom, it is observed that most (85.8% of Italians, 70.9% of foreigners) feel that they are among friends and only a small part of acquaintances or strangers. Greater difficulty in feeling among friends is found among foreigners born abroad (only 68.4% say they feel in class with friends). The external friendship network appears to be quite solid both in Italians and in foreigners, but with obvious difficulties on the part of those who were not born in Italy, for whom the problem of inclusion in a completely foreign context, in which to rebuild also the whole system of relationships. The evident tendency also in this analysis of friendship relations is first of all to choose friends with the same characteristics, even if we witness a search by foreigners to establish friendships with Italians and, for their part, among Italians it is evident also a certain openness to relationships with non-auto subjects
