Abstract
The contribution analyzes the construction of the identity image of Florence through the iconography of its feasts during the republican era, starting from the oldest representations, such as the "Misericordia" fresco by Bernardo Daddi in the Bigallo Museum, up to the late fifteenth century ones by Domenico Ghirlandaio in the Tornabuoni's Chapel of Santa Maria Novella church
