Abstract

Let l=kh, where k,h are the orders of arbitrary non-central elements of SL(2,q). If q is even allow also k=4. Assuming that k,h are coprime, we describe (2,l)-generating pairs of PSL(n,q), for all n\ge 4, q>2.
