Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The importance of knowledge of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is undeniable. Some of the benefits worth mentioning, in addition to the ultimate goal of saving a life, are that 1) they help in a variety of emergency situations and can also help the victim feel safer and prevent the situation from getting worse; 2) they create the appropriate confidence and will to respond to emergency situations, since these skills have been acquired and practiced in a stress-free context; 3) They promote a healthier and safer lifestyle, as they allow us to know the effects of certain risks, so the chances of injury are reduced. From there, an interuniversity network was established in 2020, giving life to the European project LIFEFORCE, born with the purpose of creating a theoretical framework and concrete materials for the introduction of first aid courses in the curricula of European educational systems. from an early age, adapting according to the age of the students. To design a specific project, the group has conducted research among the educational systems of preschool and primary schools in European countries, paying attention to the elements that are relevant for the pre-training of school children from 6 to 10 years old. in CPR and first aid.
