L'identità italiana al tempo dei cinquant'anni dall'Unità d'Italia secondo "Der Bote vom Gardasee" (Maderno 1900 - Salò 1914)

[Autom. eng. transl.] "Der Bote vom Gardasee" is a periodical published in German on Lake Garda from 1900 to 1914, founded and directed by Ottomar Piltz and subsequently by Martin Birnbaum. The weekly (monthly only from June to September) was addressed to members of the German colony formed on the Gardesana Riviera in the centers of Gardone, Salò, Toscolano, Maderno and Gargnano starting from the 1880s and canceled by the First World War. The aim of the weekly, also distributed in Berlin and Vienna, was not only to promote the Riviera as a place of care, but also to inform those who were staying on the Italian reality: news articles, politics, economics and culture illustrate different aspects of the Kingdom Italy. The contribution focuses in particular on the theme of the perception of Italian identity about fifty years after Unity (1861).
