Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] For those planning economic development or a social protection network, the idea is to focus first on the quality and vitality of authentic ties, that is on social capital, and then from this base, secondly, on the efficiency of manufactured goods and services (for the economy) or social and health services (for welfare). Communities with high social capital (communities where institutions help people assimilate the value of "feeling good together") are more inclined towards an ethically "good" economy.
