Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The present contribution is aimed at tracing a general picture of housing policies in our country from its origins to the present, paying particular attention to the new housing distress management tools established in recent years especially in response to the growth in the number of individuals and families who , although actively involved in the world of work and, therefore, holders of a certain income, they are however unable to bear the market costs for the purchase or rental of buildings.
