L’evoluzione della postura delle famiglie italiane verso le ICT e l’IA: i trend nei rapporti CISF 2017, 2019, 2022 e 2024

[Autom. eng. transl.] The intervention reconstructs the scenario of the post-digital society, analyzing the data on Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) in the 2017, 2020, 2022, 2024 Reports of the International Center for Family Studies (CISF). This is a corpus of data representative of the Italian population. By analyzing the trends over the eight years of the pleasure/constraint index in the use of digital media, the heteronomy index and the typologies of marginal, forced, adapted, hybridized, the tendencies of the parents' posture towards technologies and their use in the family will be outlined, increasingly characterized by a positioning of pleasure towards digital media, very often accompanied by a perception of necessary constraint. Therefore, the photograph of the "hybridized family" emerges, characterized by the hybridization of interpersonal relationships with those mediated by technology. In the second part of the speech, the Cisf 2024 data will be presented with a focus on datafication and on how Artificial Intelligence has entered the homes of a statistically representative sample of Italian families, with reference to the AI Homing Index (AIHI) and with a focus on voice assistants (smart speakers) and other forms of Internet of Things for domestic use. These data and these historical trends of Italian families are reread from a media-educational perspective.
