[Autom. eng. transl.] When we talk about the ethnicization of the labor market and employment specialization on an ethnic-national basis, we refer to multidimensional and socially constructed phenomena that imply a strong concentration of immigrant labor in certain sectors of economic activity and in some specific groups professional. In other words, it is a question of considering those areas of supply and demand in the labor market that are characterized by the presence of workers with significant dimensions of immigrant workers belonging to different ethnic-national groups, or even to only one of them. As documented by the literature, the appearance of these phenomena is deeply linked to the mechanisms that generate the job offer and is also influenced by the ways in which the demand expressed by employers takes form.
