Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Although Wolff supports the possibility of rationally grasping the message of Revelation, following natural principles, he is extremely careful to safeguard the independence of his thought and this defense is often conducted on the lexical plane. In this article we intend to show how, since his first writings, Wolff has made technical terminology the tool for safeguarding his own theoretical specificity and - since this specificity is represented by a form of rationalism destined to settle down permanently in the academic world of the 1700s German - this reading key will be proposed again for other key elements of Wolffian thought, such as logic and metaphysics.
