Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The problem of forced expropriation was much felt in southern Italy, both under French domination (1806-1815) and later during the Bourbon restoration (1815-1828). The Code de procédure civile (1806) presented a seriously inadequate discipline and the southern legal science intervened several times in an attempt to remedy it. The present essay reconstructs this interesting story.
