Abstract
Birth is a great process rich in human meaning which needs a careful attention on moral, anthropological, social and pedagogical levels. The transformation of a married couple into parents, the changing from man/woman into father/mother, the educational responsibilities building intra- and inter-familiar dynamics call for a new view of the birth event. Birth is, as a matter of fact, rich in symbolical and relational potential, it must be explored under this new-research light up to now excluded by a scientifical-medical view or by positivistical models.
