Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The concept of engagement, which for a long time coincided with the externalization of the feeling of love and mutual commitment in the perspective of marriage, today appears as an outdated term, often replaced by young people with the expression "being together". The urgency to take this topic seriously is now clear, both by first defining the characteristics of today's youth culture with respect to affective life and existential planning and by underlining the most significant acquisition of pedagogical reflection with respect to the theme of engagement and preparation for life family and marriage; all this from the results derived from some meetings with a small group of university students on the topics in question.
