Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This reflection arises from the principle that being active citizens, that is to say capable of understanding, acting and shaping one's own territory, able to use the material and immaterial resources available and to nourish the feeling of belonging is first and foremost a question of local knowledge. Local knowledge can become an important form of self-recognition, an instrument for the development of alternative territorial visions and an own "voice", of individuation of original forms of sustainable development and of response to the vulnerability of territories due to climate change, natural events, the excesses of globalization and conflicts.
