Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay analyzes the narrative structure and the iconography of the cycles of the Old Testament on the walls of the central nave of the basilica of San Vincenzo in Galliano, commissioned around 1007 by Ariberto da Intimiano, especially that of Genesis, identifying analogies and differences with other Lombard examples and probable Carolingian models, as numerous references to the title pages of the Bibles of Tours attest.
