Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The attempt to eliminate and avoid obscure words and Anglo-American graphical adaptations has helped to distinguish French from the fear of a hybrid language, called "franglais". Tracing the history of this supposed language that never existed as a true language, the article sets out to describe the history of linguistic policy actions of the second half of the twentieth century as well as the results of the creation French neologic.
