Abstract
This book was conceived within the International project “Metropolis” with the aim of providing a review of the wide literature concerning immigration in Italy. After provides some conceptual instruments for the analysis of migration processes, the Author focuses the attention on two main fields: migrants’ insertion in the labour market and social integration, with a special focus on the role of policies.
