Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] the essay investigates the process of reconfiguration of the interpretative schemes of painful experience, to find the presence or absence of an "educational space" favorable or prejudicial to the transformation of pain. With a dynamic and subjective conception of the process of attributing meaning to painful experiences, pedagogical research makes a contribution towards new research perspectives on the subject. The homeostatic model, which aims to restore the personal balance perturbed by pain as a stressor, is replacing integrated theoretical formulations capable of representing instead the complexity and the multidimensionality of reactions to pain. In this direction, the research has credited the highly individualized potential of response to suffering, to investigate the possibilities of change and transformation following the trauma suffered and has explored in a more precise way the role exercised by interpersonal relationships, positive emotional bonds, practical help , but also evaluations and information for the benefit of those who find themselves living a painful experience.
