Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay analyzes and describes, bringing significant novelties, the first edition, actually released anonymously, of the Libro d'Oltramare by the fourteenth-century Franciscan Niccolò da Poggibonsi. The book was printed in Bologna in 1500 by Giustiniano da Rubiera. There is a lot of knowledge of the publishing company thanks to some documente traces. The contribution analyzes the edition from the bibliological point of view, also retracing the history and the various changes of ownership of the not many surviving specimens.
