Abstract

Moving from teaching to learning paradigm requires serious and courageous work about assessment aspects. Teachers and students have in fact to leave reassuring situations and to accept a margin of risk. The experience Training assessment skill aims to generate educational innovation together with the students by engaging them on three key aspects: judgements, criteria and feedback. This way of doing allows not only to increase the transparency process, satisfying the increasingly pressing demand of accountability by the system, but above all to make assessment a resource for the promotion of deep learning. Process and product data, presented from the students’ perspective, can lead to develop more general reflections on assessment meaning in higher education.
