Abstract
Over the years, the regulation of fixed-term employment contracts in the public education sector has raised several issues regarding compatibility with the limits imposed by European Union law. On the basis of the complex evolution of the subject, the Author reflects on the main emerging issues, focusing on the abuse arising from the use of successive fixed-term employment contracts and the prohibition of discrimination against precarious workers.
