Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The invitation that Pope Francis made on 12 September 2019 to the representatives of the earth to sign a common commitment aimed at building the Global Educational Pact could not have been more urgent. Our rapidly changing world faces major and constant challenges - from technological acceleration to climate change, conflict, migration, intolerance and hatred - which could further widen inequalities and which will have a major impact over the decades to come. Added to this is the serious health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic which has brought out and further aggravated the inequalities and fragility that afflict our societies.
