[Autom. eng. transl.] relief in the tradition of studies and pedagogical literature. In recent times, however, there has been a renewed and more mature interest in the specific age group considered, with particular regard to the first years of life, also due to the scientific acquisitions to which the academic world in its different disciplinary articulations - and of research in general - has arrived, but also of the new and complex needs induced by social, cultural and regulatory transformations in progress. In this regard, the attention and promotion of an ECEC culture have long been undisputed priorities in European training policies. The different dimensions in which these reflections unfold and take shape therefore offer the opportunity to better understand and to put into system a rich background of knowledge in the field of pre-school education, but also to guide the development of research and thus re-signify action daily with a view to constant and continuous improvement.
