Abstract

In the 2016-2017, the “Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Archeologici” of the Università Cattolica of Milan promoted a series of excavations, architectural reliefs and surveys on the Unesco site of Castelseprio that involved the so-called “casa medievale”, the Romanesque church of S. Paolo, the “Borgo” located outside the castrum. The results of these surveys are the beginning of a research project that will continue in the next three years and that intends to enhance in a diachronic sense all the phases of frequentation of the site, ranging from late antiquity to the Middle Ages.
