[Autom. eng. transl.] In a singular alternation between increases and decreases in Production at the Basic Prices of Lombard farms, after the reductions of 2016 and 2018, interspersed with the increase of 2017, a further growth follows in 2019, which (based on data which, we recall, are still provisional) achieves a + 2.3%; in this way, the figure for the last year, equal to 4,427 million euros, is higher than that of four years before by 226 million euros. The average change over the five-year period is slightly negative (-0.2%), while the ten-year one is positive (+ 1.4%). The item that contributes most to the growth, both in relative and absolute terms, is cow's milk, whose value has increased by over 113 million euros (+ 6.7%); it is the third consecutive increase, although that of 2018 was modest, so that the gap with respect to 2016 has come to exceed 19%. The previous two years had been in sharp decline, so the five-year average variation is limited to + 0.8%, while the higher growth rates in the five-year period between 2009 and 2014 bring the average annual variation of the last decade to + 2.3%. As a consequence of the recent recoveries of the PDB, bovine milk has increased its incidence in the overall value of Lombard livestock: the weight of this sector, from about 40% in the second half of the last decade, had in fact dropped to less than 37 % in 2016, to settle, after three successive increases, just under 41% in 2019.
