Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The warning that had come from the value of Lombard animal production in 2013, when there was a markedly lower increase than the average of the previous five-year period (respectively + 0.8% and + 3.6%) had its developments with the 2014 figure, which is falling for the first time in this decade. The PDB has actually fallen by 2.3%, and the signs are almost all negative, with the exception of some small sectors. It is interesting to note that, while the modest result of 2013 was attributable to an almost stagnation for the whole of the meat, to a development in any case higher than the average of the past decade for milk and a regressive content for the eggs, which however followed the very strong growth of the previous year, in 2014 what drags down is above all the meat sector as a whole, together with eggs again, which despite two years of decline still remain at record levels; milk appears instead to be modestly reduced, also because, as we shall see, 2014 represented a year of trend reversal.
