Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] While the last few years have accustomed us to a slow, steady growth in the value of Lombard livestock production at basic prices (PPB), 2008 has been in complete discontinuity, with a jump of 7% compared to the previous year. Obviously, this figure is affected in particular by the surge in prices recorded on the world markets for arable crops and some animal products in the course of 2008, whereby the average percentage of + 7% reflects very different situations. While the growth of milk is close to 11%, with a more significant increase in the sheep and goat segment compared to the bovine one, on the other hand in the case of meat we observe a + 4.6%, which consists of a substantial stability of the value of the meat bovine, a strong growth for pork and poultry meat and, instead, a splash for the goat-goat meat
