Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The current difficulties of welfare are not attributable only to the lower transfers of money due to the consequences of the international economic crisis, but they are above all "ideals" and concern the failure to share a strong guiding idea. This can be derived from the words of Pope Francis. In the case of assistance to frail people, to the poor, scientific research confirms and corroborates the evangelical teachings, the principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church, recently recalled and made even more current by the Pope. Starting from the evangelical metaphor of the "discarded stone" which it becomes a "corner head", one wonders how, effectively, the marginalized, the poor can become "angular heads of a renewed welfare". Not a simple wish, but a reality confirmed by numerous experiences, in Italy and in the world, which must be valued and generalized.
