Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines the contribution that medieval and early modern chroniclers have provided in relation to the origins of the Congregation of Monte Oliveto. An important comparison with the studies of the twentieth century, which have reconstructed medieval texts in a philological way.
