[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume deals, with a systematic method and in the light of new developments in European legal culture, the complex matter of obligations, the nerve center of civil property law. It draws a complete representation of the discipline and the problems of bonds that embraces both the plant profiles and the particular junctions: the general principles and clauses, the legal forms of the physiology and pathology of bonds, the issues inherent to subjective modifications and particular types of obligations as well as non-contractual obligations, to finally include the issue of patrimonial responsibility, legitimate causes of pre-emption and means of preserving the patrimonial guarantee. The physiognomy of the sub-institutes which make up the structure of the obligations is updated not only with reference to the gains of doctrinal reflection, but is also related to the jurisprudential orientations and the legislative innovations that have affected the matter.
