Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The rhetoric of the crisis that has affected all fields of humanity and society has not spared the family institution and with it the intermediate bodies, the informal and formal networks of social and civil commitment. In contrast to an individualistic vision of society, the volume presents two social phenomena that are different from each other, but united by a close adherence to the family matrix and to the associative forms. On the one hand, the research that has as its object family associations in the European context intercepts organizations made up of families that work in favor of the interests and well-being of the family at various territorial levels. On the other hand, the research centered on the Let's Defend Our Children Committee addresses the complex issue of freedom of education that the family as a social institution carries. The juxtaposition of these two heterogeneous perspectives proposes a transversal reading of the social generativity of the family, which manifests itself through the formation of collective subjects guided by a joint interest in family issues, and also highlights the potential of which family reality is the bearer in a context characterized by contradictions, conflicts and transitions.
