Abstract

In the excavations carried out in the vicinity of S. Ambrogio basilica were recovered several pottery lamps. Those dating between 4th and 6th century AD provide useful information regarding the use of this area in late antiquity; moreover, the high percentage of imported goods helps scholars in tracking trade routes and commercial exchanges.
