Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The financial lexicon is developed by the international scientific community and professional circles, and it often conveys its concepts and expressions with Anglo-American terminology. The disciplinary content concerns different thematic fields - insurance, banks, savings, stock market and securities, contracts, financial markets, to name a few; it develops in the theoretical circles of specialists, mathematicians, creators of financial modeling, to spread among banking institutions, object of interest of the choices of governments and individuals. This lexicon is expressed in Italian thanks to neologisms of different morphological nature. Abbreviations and acronyms, layers, borrowings, xenisms, hybrids, derived terms and compounds, lexemes that have been extended meaning are thus present in the new formations entered in the Italian lexicon of this field. Focus will be on neologisms in the area of ethical finance and on the dating of some of these terms. The typology of the neologisms of the lexicon will be described on the basis of the data established by a corpus of reference: specialized sections of some dailies during the years 2005/2007, specialized magazines, the best known university textbooks.
