[Autom. eng. transl.] The crisis of the traditional parameters of reading spatial phenomena raises some questions for the sociologist of the territory. The myth of the city, which was countered by a no less ephemeral desire to rediscover the rural, is now replacing a different attempt to re-read and approach space, characterized by the multiplicity of directions and objects of study. The collection of writings presented in the volume is part of this logic of revisiting and overcoming traditional parameters; all equally critically presented to the reader's attention, as component parts of a project to be reinvented.
