Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution examines the didactic and poetic inscriptions on the Peace of Chiavenna embossed in gold and included in the enamel medallions. Through a paleographic and textual analysis (the latter limited to the dedication text, which is in poetry) it is suggested, even with prudence in the absence of compelling comparative evidence, a dating to the sec. XI. The pair of hexameters is compared to other texts of the century. XI, in particular with the poetic inscriptions of client of Henry II, which however present substantially different content characteristics.
