Abstract
The present research focuses on the observation of the occurrences of pragmatic markers duì bu duì 对不对 and duì ma 对吗 in a corpus of interactions between two teachers and a group of Italian speaking students of Chinese as a foreign language.
Starting from the analysis by Chen and He (2001), who identify the functions of dui bu dui as ‘basic marker’ and as ‘discourse marker’ in teaching context, the quantity and the nature of the occurrences of the markers dui bu dui and dui ma have been observed in the corpus, with the aim of determining their pragmatic features and possible teaching implications of the observations on the interactions.
