Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article illustrates the history of soft felt, which changes its name according to the shape of its wings and its cap. We propose a walk in the middle of these fanciful hats, from the so-called caudebec felt to the borsalino felt, and one observes in the world of a trade - that of the hatter - as well as the terminological and cultural course of the Chapel tradition, as well as the traces of some literary images.
