Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The aim of the work is to examine the contribution that psychological and neuroscientific research on emotional difficulties in development can offer to psychotherapy. As exemplifying situations, alexithymia (inability to recognize and express one's emotions) and self-injurious behavior in adolescence are examined, at the base of which we find some emotional problems. Finally, starting from the analysis carried out, some open questions of a theoretical and methodological nature are discussed.
